Under general direction, coordinate the design, development and production of original artwork for a variety of visual communication purposes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consult with faculty, staff or editors regarding graphics design to determine appropriate and economical format; advise users with regard to the practical applications of graphics design as a tool of visual communication;<\/p>\n<p>Design, plan and layout various types of printed publications; coordinate and design production; ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, project specification and budget limitations;<\/p>\n<p>Purchase and direct creative art services from non-institution designers, artists, photographers and other vendors as required;<\/p>\n<p>Recommend copy revisions;<\/p>\n<p>Maintain supply inventory; prepare order lists;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in developing pricing schedules;<\/p>\n<p>Analyze and interpret curriculum materials in order to effectively adapt available audio-visual production techniques and processes to overall objectives;<\/p>\n<p>May coordinate design of departmental or institutional graphics programs, including elements such as integrated typography, logo, use of color, and appropriate applications;<\/p>\n<p>May perform the duties of Graphic Designer\/Illustrator;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An Associate&#8217;s Degree in graphics design, or equivalent art school training AND two years of experience as a Graphic Designer\/Illustrator.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/03\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n06\/19\/1975: Revise Class\/Title<br \/>\n01\/13\/1977: Revise Class\/Title (A)<br \/>\n01\/13\/1977: New Class (B)<br \/>\n03\/21\/1988: Revise Class\/Title<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17515 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22333 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Direct, design, develop, layout, and coordinate the production [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":96,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5297","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
