BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lead assigned personnel and perform custodial duties.<\/p>\n

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others.<\/p>\n

TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maintain key security;<\/p>\n

Inspect assigned areas; ensure that departmental cleanliness standards are met;<\/p>\n

Report status and condition of assigned areas to supervisor; assist supervisor with performance evaluations;<\/p>\n

Instruct employees in proper cleaning techniques and safety practices; maintain compliance with applicable policies and procedures;<\/p>\n

Distribute custodial equipment and supplies; monitor the use and care of assigned equipment and supplies;<\/p>\n

Initiate work orders for repair\/maintenance;<\/p>\n

Assist with inventory maintenance;<\/p>\n

Monitor safety practices of custodial employees;<\/p>\n

Perform the duties of a Custodian;<\/p>\n

Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Physical ability to do required work AND one year of experience as a custodian, or equivalent.<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
