{"id":5216,"date":"2024-03-26T13:38:48","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T20:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5216"},"modified":"2025-05-22T11:14:53","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T18:14:53","slug":"inventory-inspector-1","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/inventory-inspector-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Inventory Inspector 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17702 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n22404 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Locate, inspect, tag, and record inventorial capital equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Positions in this class are distinguished by responsibility for maintaining an inventory of all institution-owned equipment including that at off-campus sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordinate with departmental personnel to arrange to inventory equipment;<\/p>\n<p>Inspect equipment to determine if it is inventoriable and tag and mark equipment;<\/p>\n<p>Transfer excess equipment items to excess storage;<\/p>\n<p>Maintain records, order inventory decals and cards, and prepare departmental, state, and related reports;<\/p>\n<p>Answer questions and resolve inventory problems;<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate with data processing personnel in establishing inventory system procedures;<\/p>\n<p>May lead the work of clerical assistants;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation or GED Certificate and one year of inventory, stockroom, or related experience.<\/p>\n<p>Six months of additional applicable experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
