{"id":5194,"date":"2024-03-26T13:31:09","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T20:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5194"},"modified":"2025-05-22T11:18:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T18:18:00","slug":"laundry-operater-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/laundry-operater-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Laundry Operater 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18516 (NE S WFSE Campuswide)<br \/>\n22649 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide)<\/p>\n<p>18648 (NE S WFSE HMC)<br \/>\n22722 (NE H NI WFSE HMC)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Schedule, coordinate and perform laundry processing tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general supervision, lead subordinate laundry workers on a regular basis; or have primary responsibility for the coordination and completion of laundry activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of employees;<\/p>\n<p>Direct and perform flat-work processing, rough-dry processing, pressing and assembly operations;<\/p>\n<p>Verify laundry lists, check and count user orders, coordinate production to meet work orders and maintain laundry operations records;<\/p>\n<p>Recommend work improvement methods as needed;<\/p>\n<p>Operate general commercial laundry production equipment;<\/p>\n<p>May coordinate laundry processing activities to meet user requirements and production standards;<\/p>\n<p>May train subordinate laundry workers in routine laundry operations work;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Six months of experience as a Laundry Operator I, or equivalent, in a large commercial or large institutional laundry.
