Incumbents may be expected to apply knowledge of United States Post Office Regulations, Chapter I.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deliver and collect United States mail, parcel post packages, campus mail, and books and files within campus locations;<\/p>\n<p>Case and sort United States and campus mail;<\/p>\n<p>Load mail sacks, may place meter tapes on flats and packages, and occasionally operate mailing machines;<\/p>\n<p>Make delivery of bulk, insured, registered, certified, and regular mail;<\/p>\n<p>As required, sort, classify, and rate mail for proper postage;<\/p>\n<p>May operate scooters;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation or GED Certificate; valid motor vehicle operator&#8217;s license may be required.<\/p>\n<p>Six months office or clerical experience may be substituted for educational requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>03\/14\/1975: New Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18563 (NE S WFSE Campuswide) 22688 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide) DEFINITION Sort, deliver, and collect United States Government and campus mail.
