{"id":5098,"date":"2024-03-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5098"},"modified":"2026-06-27T19:02:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T02:02:12","slug":"mason-plasterer-lead","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/mason-plasterer-lead\/","title":{"rendered":"Mason\/Plasterer Lead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18849 (NE S WFSE Trades)<br \/>\n22841 (NE H NI WFSE Trades)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead and work with mason\/plasterers to perform journey-level work in plastering, cement finishing, brick and block laying, and related work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Positions in this class are distinguished by responsibility to lead and instruct journey masons and plasterers in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform all duties of a mason\/Plasterer: lead assigned personnel in the performance of work;<\/p>\n<p>Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>Develop preliminary cost estimates for installation and repair;<\/p>\n<p>Develop methods and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>May perform work in other trades;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One year, full-time experience as a journey mason\/plasterer or equivalent trade skill.
