Under general supervision, coordinate with medical staff for chart completion and perform administrative duties such as preparing statistical summaries, maintaining supply inventory, and assisting with budget preparation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordinate with medical staff and transcription staff to complete charts;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare departmental reports and statistical summaries;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures;<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement training programs for new hires and existing personnel;<\/p>\n<p>orient medical staff to departmental procedures and policies;<\/p>\n<p>Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired as needed;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in preparation of the departmental budget;<\/p>\n<p>May coordinate vacation schedules;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the duties of a Medical Transcriptionist II;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation or equivalent; AND three years of occupational-level medical transcription experience, including two years of experience utilizing terminology of multiple body systems or in a multi-specialty department. Certified medical transcriptionist credentialing may substitute for one year of experience.
