Track aircraft in flight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general direction, triage medical flights, coordinate ground transportation, and activate medical team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Resolve flight requests; obtain patient status, and activate the appropriate aircraft flight team;<\/p>\n<p>Report flight request and patient status to Emergency Medical Director and Chief Flight Nurse;<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate estimated time of arrival with requesting agency and receiving medical facility;<\/p>\n<p>Track aircraft to and from patient pick-up point, relaying pertinent patient information to receiving medical facility;<\/p>\n<p>Use voice recorder during all interactions as directed by FCC regulations;<\/p>\n<p>Provide flight transport cost estimates; maintain statistical flight data;<\/p>\n<p>Enter flight and patient data into computerized system;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in a public emergency communications center AND proficiency in medical terminology.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>12\/04\/1992: New Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18085 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22495 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) CLASS SERIES CONCEPT Coordinate air\/ground transport for emergency medical care.
