Supervise a shift of parking operations employees in a large institution; OR direct the parking system in small institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, train new employees, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action;<\/p>\n<p>Inspect parking areas and equipment, e.g., gatehouses and signs;<\/p>\n<p>Work with departments to develop special parking arrangements for special functions, athletic events, meetings and conferences;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in developing and conducting on-going training sessions for parking personnel;<\/p>\n<p>Collect money from meters, ticket machines and gatehouses;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two years of experience as a Traffic Guide or Parking Checker, or equivalent; AND possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator&#8217;s License.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/03\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n10\/12\/1973: Revise Title<br \/>\n01\/12\/1983: Revise Code &amp; Class<br \/>\n07\/02\/1990: Revise MQ<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17652 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv) 22391 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Supervise Parking Checkers and Traffic Guides.
