{"id":4865,"date":"2024-03-06T12:26:44","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4865"},"modified":"2025-05-22T14:20:58","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T21:20:58","slug":"patient-representative-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/patient-representative-supervisor\/","title":{"rendered":"Patient Representative Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18071 (E S SEIU 925 Supv)<br \/>\n17838 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv)<br \/>\n22485 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Direct the operation of the Patient Representative program for a hospital.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Incumbents supervise all patient representative personnel and manage the overall Patient Representative program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Supervise the work of patient relations staff to include hiring, training and orientation and evaluation; recommend disciplinary action;<\/p>\n<p>Research and prepare budget for the Patient Representative program;<\/p>\n<p>Develop goals and objectives as well as working procedures for the program;<\/p>\n<p>Serve as the overall management liaison between the program and other departments, identifying potential problem areas and facilitating the resolution of complaints with high degree of operational impact;<\/p>\n<p>Represent the department on a variety of Administrative and Management Committees;<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for receiving, acknowledging and disbursing procedures for contributions to the Patient Care Fund;<\/p>\n<p>Develop follow-up systems to ensure corrective action is communicated and implemented;<\/p>\n<p>Collect data and prepare reports concerning patient and institutional-related problems and recommend appropriate changes in hospital policies;<\/p>\n<p>Serve on various hospital planning committees and task forces; assist in overall planning;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in a health care or related field; AND three years health administrative experience involving responsibility and exposure to administrative, professional and patient contact.<\/p>\n<p>An equivalent combination of education, training and\/or experience may substitute for the degree requirement.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>03\/22\/1979: New Class<br \/>\n07\/02\/1990: Revise MQ<br \/>\n05\/01\/2000: New to CSA<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18071 (E S SEIU 925 Supv) 17838 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv) 22485 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Supv) DEFINITION Direct the operation of the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":96,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4865","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
