DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Collect parking fees and direct campus vehicular traffic.<\/p>\n

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

This class is distinguished by responsibility for directing the flow of traffic to campus parking areas and receiving cash for parking fees.<\/p>\n

TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visually check entering vehicles for valid parking permit;<\/p>\n

Issue daily campus parking permits; collect and receive daily parking fees; reconcile cash with cash register;<\/p>\n

Direct the flow of campus traffic to appropriate areas;<\/p>\n

Direct visitors to parking areas and offices; provide general campus information upon request;<\/p>\n

May assist with installation and maintenance of traffic and parking signs and minor maintenance of parking facilities;<\/p>\n

Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Possession of a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
