Perform specialized radiation therapy procedures such as cyclotron-based neutron radiotherapy, fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery, intraoperative electron beam radiotherapy, dose-intensive conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and the treatment of pediatric patients under general anesthesia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regularly assign, instruct, and check the work of radiation therapy technologists and other assigned staff; make recommendations regarding performance evaluations;<\/p>\n<p>Perform specialized radiation therapy procedures such as cyclotron-based neutron radiotherapy, fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery, intraoperative electron beam radiotherapy, dose-intensive conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and the treatment of pediatric patients under general anesthesia;<\/p>\n<p>Lead technologists with tumor localization procedures; assist with the development and testing of new radiation therapy techniques; recommend new procedures;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the duties of a Radiation Therapy Technologist;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Registered in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; AND one year of experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>07\/22\/1985: New Class<br \/>\n07\/02\/1990: Revise MQ<br \/>\n11\/09\/2001: Revise Class\/MQ<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18446 (NE S SEIU 925 HCP\/LT) 22618 (NE H NI SEIU 925 HCP\/LT) BASIC FUNCTION Lead radiation therapy technology staff and perform specialized radiation therapy procedures.
