{"id":4562,"date":"2024-02-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-05T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4562"},"modified":"2026-06-27T19:00:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T02:00:15","slug":"records-analyst-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/records-analyst-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Records Analyst 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17049 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n22221 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead records analysts in the delivery of records management services and assist in the development and implementation of an institution&#8217;s records management program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead Records Analysts, and is a specialist in two or more system areas; i.e., financial records, student records, patient records, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Schedule and coordinate records management services (files consulting, records retention scheduling, essential records scheduling and similar services) in one or a group of organizational units; negotiate service agreements with department personnel and assign subordinate personnel;<\/p>\n<p>Review draft records retention and essential records schedules to ensure conformance with legal requirements and state and institution standards; perform research and recommend standards based on investigations;<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate the development of an institutional uniform filing system;<\/p>\n<p>Organize records management workshops and similar instructional sessions; assist in the development of instructional materials;<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate the training of subordinate staff; assist in the development of staff training programs;<\/p>\n<p>Review the work of subordinates and assist in the evaluation of their performance;<\/p>\n<p>Gather and review information required for program reporting purposes;<\/p>\n<p>May perform specialized records or related information systems studies;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree and three years records analysis experience, including one year of experience as a Records Analyst II or the equivalent.
