Under general direction perform independent development, implementation and coordination of research projects and activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Solicit, compile, analyze and summarize reports in support of institutional and unit research;<\/p>\n<p>Design and perform various complex statistical analyses involving characteristics such as student, instruction, faculty, financial, budgetary, departmental, etc;<\/p>\n<p>Participate on committees and task forces to contribute to group&#8217;s objectives and university policy goals;<\/p>\n<p>Participate in the coordination of project requirements for computer programming and data processing presentation;<\/p>\n<p>Compile data from existing data files to create historical and current computer data bases; down load data from institutional mainframes to microcomputers; utilize application software to create reports for faculty, administrators, and outside agencies;<\/p>\n<p>Compile narrative reports, develop tables, charts, graphs and illustrations;<\/p>\n<p>May direct the work of others;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree including college-level course work in statistics AND one year of work experience as a Research Analyst I.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>12\/14\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n02\/07\/1992: Revise Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17031 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22214 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Perform fully qualified professional Research Analyst work to design and coordinate complex research activities regarding various characteristics.
