{"id":4537,"date":"2024-02-04T23:24:59","date_gmt":"2024-02-05T07:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4537"},"modified":"2025-05-22T15:15:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T22:15:18","slug":"research-analyst-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/research-analyst-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Analyst 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17032 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n22215 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform assigned tasks of the highest specialized and technical level with total responsibility for determining method of development, design, analysis and coordination of complex research projects and studies regarding various characteristics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under administrative direction, independently develop technical work methods in production of projects and analyses of research data.<\/p>\n<p>Determine the development, design, implementation, maintenance and modification of complex research projects, involving data collection and manipulation, analytical modeling, computer application and reporting systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform highly specialized complex activities in planning, directing and coordinating project requirements; develop forms and procedures for reporting research information, provide comprehensive analysis of statistics for data bases;<\/p>\n<p>Devise and assure the design, performance and review of various statistical analyses involving characteristics such as students, instruction, faculty, finances, budget, physical plant, etc.;<\/p>\n<p>Establish project data requirements and collection methods, including downloading from computer mainframes, interpreting and analyzing data collection using mainframe or microcomputer application software, etc.;<\/p>\n<p>Analyze reports prepared by other state and federal agencies to evaluate their impact on, or relationship to, the institution&#8217;s goals and objectives;<\/p>\n<p>Organize programmers, systems analysts, budget analysts and other personnel to coordinate activities;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree including college-level course work in statistics AND two years of work experience as a Research Analyst II.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/03\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n07\/02\/1990: Revise MQ<br \/>\n02\/07\/1992: New Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17032 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22215 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Perform assigned tasks of the highest specialized and [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":96,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4537","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
