Specific scientific and technical knowledge is required to perform job duties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work closely with science faculty in development of media products offering an understanding of technical applications and scientific content;<\/p>\n<p>Carry out production services in programs relating to development of instructional materials, including film production, television, graphics, still photography, audio-tape and slide productions;<\/p>\n<p>Analyze the scientific content of materials submitted relative to the objectives of the project;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in the training of science faculty and\/or science education professionals in the utilization of new teaching media and equipment through workshop groups;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in the evaluation of new trends and developments in media production and equipment technology;<\/p>\n<p>Participate in conferences, workshops, etc., concerning the application and utilization of audio-visual methods, materials and devices;<\/p>\n<p>May coordinate and edit scripts, text, syllabuses, brochures, etc., for scientific instructional packages;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in science education or in a scientific discipline; AND one year of experience in the design and production of scientific instructional materials. Equivalent level experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement of position vacancy (recruiting bulletin) may specify course work or experience within a specific discipline if determined necessary by the personnel officer.
