Under general supervision, perform journey-level sign painting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform hand lettering on signs, posters, show cards, doors, and glass;<\/p>\n<p>Layout and cut stencils for lettering and numbering;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and use pounce paper patterns;<\/p>\n<p>Apply gold, silver, or bronze leaf to surfaces;<\/p>\n<p>Paint and letter numerals and symbols and background pictures for lettering;<\/p>\n<p>Construct signs using materials such as &amp;quotScotch lite&#8221;, &amp;quotScotch cal&#8221;, and other adhesives; utilize silk screen process to prepare signs;<\/p>\n<p>Mix paints as required and care for tools and equipment;<\/p>\n<p>May operate motor vehicle and transport materials;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three years of experience\/training in the sign painting trade.
