{"id":4359,"date":"2024-01-17T11:00:43","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T19:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4359"},"modified":"2025-05-23T14:23:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T21:23:12","slug":"tv-video-equipment-operator-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/tv-video-equipment-operator-supervisor\/","title":{"rendered":"TV\/Video Equipment Operator Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17828 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv)<br \/>\n22349 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Supervise others in the operation and routine maintenance of TV\/video equipment, materials and facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, conduct training, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Supervise assigned personnel in the production of TV\/video productions, recordings, dubbing, editing, filming, classroom playbacks and related tasks;<\/p>\n<p>Supervise assigned personnel in the operation and routine maintenance of equipment lighting, staging; oversee minor construction and rigging jobs necessary to production set ups;<\/p>\n<p>Participate in planning production related activities and advise on equipment and personnel needs;<\/p>\n<p>Determine production equipment requirements; make recommendations for new equipment; review manufacturer specifications and evaluate equipment; order and maintain an adequate supply of materials;<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that safety procedures are followed;<\/p>\n<p>Maintain records on work performed; write reports as required;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation or equivalent AND four years of experience in the operation of TV\/video production equipment, including one year as a TV\/Video Equipment Operator Lead, or equivalent.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>11\/20\/1980: New Class<br \/>\n04\/15\/1991: Revise Class\/Title<br \/>\n05\/01\/2000: New to CSA<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17828 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv) 22349 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Supervise others in the operation and routine maintenance of TV\/video [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":96,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4359","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
