This involves driving and operating packer or dump trucks with a capacity of at least 16 cubic yards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drive refuse truck picking up garbage, refuse, scrap, etc., from campus buildings and facilities and transport to area transfer station, dump site or incinerator;<\/p>\n<p>Perform minor service on equipment such as changing tires, oil and lubrication, filling hydraulic tanks, washing and cleaning truck;<\/p>\n<p>Check waste hauled for dangerous or hazardous material; notify proper personnel for disposal;<\/p>\n<p>Pick up, sweep or hose down around incinerator, transfer site or pickup areas;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related work as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ability to read and write;<\/p>\n<p>Possession of a valid State driver&#8217;s license;<\/p>\n<p>Physical ability to perform heavy outdoor work.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/03\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18556 (NE S WFSE Campuswide) 22682 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide) DEFINITION Drive refuse trucks and collect campus refuse and garbage.
