{"id":3824,"date":"2023-10-20T14:24:20","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T21:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=3824"},"modified":"2025-05-09T10:36:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T17:36:44","slug":"fiscal-technician-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/fiscal-technician-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiscal Technician 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17055 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n22226 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Provide fiscal support using independent judgment in the interpretation and application of a variety of rules and procedures in specialized fiscal functions, such as internal control, revolving fund maintenance control, and providing resource data for reports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform detailed fiscal work where independent judgment is exercised to make fiscal determinations and to solve problems that arise within work assignments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Maintain accounts and records; authorize and enter fiscal transactions; compile and prepare periodic fiscal statements and reports;<\/p>\n<p>Assist higher-level fiscal personnel with summary information and analysis of records and reports;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare, audit, verify and process final documents such as vouchers, purchase requests, invoices, receipts, payroll forms and bank deposit verifications;<\/p>\n<p>Interpret fiscal policies and procedures; assist in the monitoring and review of computer input\/output; provide suggestions for development and maintenance of computerized financial management and budget development systems;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare, verify and control input being processed, including responsibility for input;<\/p>\n<p>Serve as custodian of funds deposited with institution; review and consolidate receipts, bank deposits and other fiscal documentation to ensure accountability of funds;<\/p>\n<p>Review and verify fiscal reports for accuracy; investigate and correct errors to ensure compliance with established procedures and policies;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the duties of Fiscal Technician II;<\/p>\n<p>Recommend improved procedures for preparation of fiscal reports;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Associate&#8217;s Degree; AND 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/03\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n05\/01\/1982:\u00a0Revise Class<br \/>\n01\/18\/1988:\u00a0Revise Class\/Title<br \/>\n07\/02\/1990:\u00a0Revise MQ<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005:\u00a0CSR Class Conversion<br \/>\n09\/08\/2023:\u00a0Revised MQ<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17055 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22226 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Provide fiscal support using independent judgment in the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":49,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-3824","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
