Consult with clients and\/or meet with subject matter experts to gather information for use in communications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead the creation and optimization of strategic user-focused content that aligns with brand voice, accessibility standards, and institutional goals, using analytics and audience insights to drive engagement and effectiveness. Oversee content planning and governance, collaborate cross-functionally, and promote best practices in content strategy and user experience through consultation, training, and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under limited supervision, produce clear, concise, and engaging content tailored to user needs and business goals. Independently manage end-to-end content development for projects, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and delivering impactful user experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Craft strategic user-focused content that aligns with brand voice and meets accessibility standards, ensuring clarity and consistency across multiple platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Develop creative content concepts that support marketing goals, drive engagement, and align with institutional goals.<\/p>\n<p>Use analytics tools to assess content performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize based on user behavior and feedback.<\/p>\n<p>Oversee the planning, creation, and implementation of content for new and existing web initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.<\/p>\n<p>Identify and implement enhancements to content workflows, governance models, and editorial processes to increase efficiency and quality.<\/p>\n<p>Create and adhere to style guides, tone of voice documentation, and editorial standards to ensure consistency across all content.<\/p>\n<p>Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as designers, developers, marketers, and subject matter experts to align content with broader objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Serve as subject matter expert to advise campus partners and stakeholders on best practices in content planning, structure, and user experience to support their goals.<\/p>\n<p>Promote awareness and adoption of content strategy principles across the organization through training, documentation, and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>Conduct research and stakeholder interviews to understand user needs and business objectives, translating insights into actionable content strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve content strategy and enhance the user experience.<\/p>\n<p>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Public Information: Managerial or professional level positions having substantial responsibility for planning and directing the development and communication of information designed to keep the public informed of the institution\u2019s programs, accomplishments, and point of view. Individuals exercise discretion in determining content of written copy.
