Gather and analyze data, create reports, and communicate key findings to stakeholders to support decision-making.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general supervision, complete assigned research tasks\/projects, demonstrating the ability to work independently. Know the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of research analysis, while continuing to develop technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Independently manage recurring surveys across multiple programs, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Represent the research team in client meetings and lead study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Conduct both primary and secondary research to evaluate academic program performance and viability.<\/p>\n<p>Identify trends and deliver actionable insights using quantitative and qualitative methods to support strategic decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Provide research-based recommendations on launching new programs, modifying existing ones, or sunsetting underperforming offerings.<\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with external research vendors and utilize secondary data sources.<\/p>\n<p>Support research operations through report archiving and documentation of research procedures.<\/p>\n<p>May direct the work of student research assistants in data collection, preparation, and reporting tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration<\/p>\n<p><strong>CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Research: Individuals having formal academic preparation at least at the Bachelor\u2019s level or demonstrated professional competence in a specific field of research, and having responsibility for or assisting in one or more of the following tasks: Identifying and defining research problems; designing approaches or hypotheses to be tested and the methodology to be used; designing specific phases of research projects; analyzing results, developing conclusions and hypotheses; presenting research results in publishable form, and\/or obtaining research grants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>05\/01\/2026: New class per PERC Case No. 139167-E-24<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 25625 (NE S SEIU 925 CC) 25624 (E S SEIU 925 CC) CLASS SERIES CONCEPT Within Continuum College, apply knowledge gained through formal education at least at the Bachelor&#8217;s level or equivalent\/related experience to provide data-based analysis and decision-support for a portfolio of current and future academic programs such as professional certificates, courses, and degree programs, to ensure programmatic offerings remain fully aligned with student and organizational demands.
