Utilize technical depth and cross-platform expertise to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of organizational information technology (IT) environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform advanced technical and administrative functions in support of organizational infrastructure, including cloud platforms, virtualization environments, and on-premises systems. Contribute to the planning, deployment, and maintenance of secure and resilient IT systems. Apply specialized knowledge to ensure operational continuity, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal teams to support evolving technology needs and strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under limited supervision, responsible for infrastructure architecture, advanced system administration, and strategic implementation of cloud and virtualization technologies. Provide expertise in scripting, database management, and network security. Lead infrastructure projects, advise on best practices, and ensure system resilience and continuity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Responsible for managing and supporting technology infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.<\/p>\n<p>Design and implement scalable solutions using virtualization, automation, and scripting tools.<\/p>\n<p>Perform advanced system administration and monitoring to ensure high availability and performance of applications and services.<\/p>\n<p>Serve as an escalation point for technical support.<\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with internal teams to support instructional and administrative technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure compliance with security protocols and regulatory standards.<\/p>\n<p>Participate in strategic planning related to data architecture and system integration.<\/p>\n<p>Contribute to the development of IT policies and documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Lead infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration<\/p>\n<p><strong>CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Senior Computer Systems and Network Programming: Individuals having demonstrated professional competence in computer systems and network programming above the journey-level, who independently perform work assignments, and devise methods and processes to meet new and unique work requirements and problems.
