Translate complex data and research findings into actionable insights. Integrate research expertise with strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and mission-driven initiatives across a range of educational topics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform professional research and analysis in support of organizational initiatives related to education, workforce development, access, and equity. Conduct original and secondary research, synthesize findings, and develop reports, papers, and recommendations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align research efforts with strategic goals and emerging priorities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Independently produce research that informs decision-making and supports organizational impact. Operate with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrate expertise in research design, data analysis, and communication. Navigate complex policy and programmatic environments and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conduct research using primary and secondary resources and synthesize results into meaningful reports, white papers, and publishable research.<\/p>\n<p>Develop and utilize a deep understanding of the education credential environment, including federal\/state data and reporting, and proven policies and practices that help students successfully complete a credential.<\/p>\n<p>Develop targeted short reports and position papers covering emergent education policy topics as needed by Continuum College leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate research with faculty staff and external partners.<\/p>\n<p>Provide regular whitepapers, reports, and data to Continuum College leadership to keep them informed about changes to the education policy environment.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate educational research projects with staff, faculty, and students focused on the mission and direction of the college.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and deliver educational policy presentations to Continuum College staff and other university leaders related to adult and non-traditional education, degree attainment, and the evolution of university education.<\/p>\n<p>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration<\/p>\n<p><strong>CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Research: Individuals having formal academic preparation at least at the Bachelor\u2019s level or demonstrated professional competence in a specific field of research, and having responsibility for or assisting in one or more of the following tasks: Identifying and defining research problems; designing approaches or hypotheses to be tested and the methodology to be used; designing specific phases of research projects; analyzing results, developing conclusions and hypotheses; presenting research results in publishable form, and\/or obtaining research grants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>05\/01\/2026: New class per PERC Case No. 139167-E-24<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 25611 (NE S SEIU 925 CC) 25610 (E S SEIU 925 CC) CLASS SERIES CONCEPT Within Continuum College, apply knowledge gained through formal education at least at the Bachelor&#8217;s level or equivalent\/related experience to conduct, synthesize, and communicate research that informs organizational strategy, program development, and policy alignment.
