Dozens of volunteers make no-sew pet blankets for Seattle Humane

UW Men’s Soccer making pet blankets for Seattle Humane

In January, UWCFD hosted its first, but hopefully not last, no-sew blanket making event to benefit our furry friends at Seattle Humane.

THANK YOU to the dozens of groups and individuals for volunteering your time to bring comfort to shelter animals.

Seattle Humane provides each animal in the shelter with a cozy blanket for their kennel or cubby during their shelter stay. In addition to providing comfort, the blanket goes with them to their forever home when they are adopted.

It’s not too late to help!

Seattle Humane accepts pet blankets year-round, so you can get your group together anytime for a fun and easy craft project! No craft experience? No problem: Make a no Sew Fleece Blanket

About Seattle Humane

Founded in 1897, Seattle Humane proudly promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need. We are more than a shelter – Seattle Humane is a resource center for the region, providing adoption services, a pet food bank and support for pet owners, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and wellness exams, humane education for all ages and more. All made possible through the support of a generous community. Seattle Humane has survived and thrived for 125 years, always leading with compassion as we care for pets and the people who love them. Our work will continue to strengthen the human-animal bond as we look ahead to our next 125 years of saving lives, completing families and keeping pets with their people.
