Meet Mari Litzenberger, new UWCFD workplace giving specialist

Mari and her husband Randy visiting Harpers Ferry on the Potomac River, Washington DC

Hi! My name is Mari Litzenberger and I am thrilled to be the latest addition to the UWCFD office!

In my most recent position I served as the Volunteer Coordinator at WestSide Baby, a UWCFD member-nonprofit that meets the basic needs of children to promote safety, security and healthy development by providing essential items like diapers, wipes, formula and infant equipment.

My time at WestSide Baby developed my passion for connecting people with causes they care about and making volunteerism an approachable and enjoyable experience. I am excited to bring these skills to bear in this position with the UWCFD.

I am also delighted to be returning to the UW, where I previously worked as a program operations specialist at the Applied Physics Laboratory (also a member organization of the UWCFD!).

I’m looking forward to learning more about how the UWCFD works from the inside after having previously been an employee donor and staff at a nonprofit receiving support from CFD donations.

Outside of work, my two kids, one cat, and five chickens keep me on my toes. In my spare time I enjoy tending my vegetable garden, cooking, and traveling.

Starting May 9, you can reach me at uwcfd@uw.edu or 206-616-3678. I look forward to meeting you!
