New Student Employee website launched
Each year, thousands of UW students take on secondary roles as UW student employees bringing their talents and energy to our departments while gaining valuable work experience. To enhance their employment experience, UWHR has launched a new Student Employment website that aggregates all the information relevant to student employees and their managers. Students can find information on the different types of jobs available to them and time off and workplace policies and the employee resources that may benefit them most. Managers can find resources for hiring and managing student employees, including expanded guidance on student hourly employment requirements.
This content was identified and developed in collaboration with the Integrated Service Center (ISC) and the UW Career & Internship Center and validated by department stakeholders. I also want to acknowledge our own student intern, Tana, who not only helped drive this project but generously offered her perspective as a student employee.
