As a UW employee, you receive an excellent benefits package that includes an array of health plan options, generous retirement plans, life insurance coverage, and many other benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome Day introduces the UW Employee Benefits package, including retirement plan options, and gives you the opportunity to receive guidance and ask questions about your benefits selections. Since most enrollment deadlines fall within 31 days of an employee\u2019s eligibility date, you are urged to attend Welcome Day during your first few weeks of employment:<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"uw-btn btn-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/courses-and-workshops\/new-employee-orientation\/\">Register: Welcome Day<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At orientation, you&#8217;ll get help choosing\u00a0plan and coverage options. Get a head start by exploring the <a href=\"http:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/benefits\/\">Benefits website<\/a> before orientation.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t delay \u2014 you\u2019ve got important benefit decisions ahead and only a short time\u00a0to make them. Please watch for an email containing information about your benefits package. You must enroll by your deadline or you will be defaulted into certain elections.
