DEFINITION
Attend locker room, towel cage, or equipment check-out service.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Positions in this class are distinguished by responsibility to provide routine services in a large locker room facility, or a student union games area.
TYPICAL WORK
Issue and insure return of locks, towels and athletic equipment;
Maintain required safety and security practices in locker room area;
Check athletic equipment and supplies for wear or damage and make recommendations for replacements;
May make minor repairs to equipment and wearing apparel such as mending swim suits and towels, replacing arrow tips, stringing and regripping rackets;
Maintain equipment inventory, count and sort suits and towels for laundry, fold and shelve laundered items;
Check our and vacate baskets at end of school terms;
Maintain cleanliness in work areas;
May direct student assistants;
Perform related duties as required.

Examination Requirements
The examination (including written, E & T and oral components) will consist of a scored evaluation of the applicant's ability to operate or learn to operate the locker room, towel cage or equipment checkout service; ability to follow instructions; and ability to accurately perform simple arithmetic computations.
