For staff actively participating in a training program for a new modality. Each medical center's department will provide on-the-job training in modalities they identify as requirements to meet patient care needs. Staffs' positions will remain allocated to their current classification.

Employees in training will be paid an additional $1.25 per hour to their current base pay on a full-time basis for the duration of their training.

Use is limited to specific Health Care Professional/Technical classifications at the University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. Click here for Permanent Modality Pay 1 eligible classifications.
